The Zimmer Group and Heraeus expand the DMQP Program with their products for automation and additive manufacturing.

It bundles maximum innovation and technology expertise from over a hundred selected DMQP partners, who are exclusively awarded the premium seal of quality for their products. With the global DMQP seal of quality DMG MORI makes over 2,400 specifically recommended peripherals and accessories for integral manufacturing solutions available worldwide. The program includes the product categories “Machining”, “Handling”, “Measuring” and “Monitoring” as well as the Peripherals and Accessories for ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING. The Zimmer Group from the field of zero-point clamping and gripper systems and Heraeus as a powder supplier for additive manufacturing are the most recent partners to join the DMQP Program.
Zimmer Group: Intelligent zero-point clamping and gripper systems for automation
DMG MORI has trusted in the products of the Zimmer Group for many years. The company from Rheinau supplies the machine tool manufacturer with assistant and safety components in the form of brake systems and stop systems with grippers or absorbers. In view of the increasing automation of production systems this portfolio has been expanded to include zero-point clamping and gripper systems. Christoph Grosch, the Executive Director responsible for the DMQP Program, sees these components as a key reason for awarding the DMQP seal of quality to the Zimmer Group: “The new zero-point clamping and gripper system products excel through their sustainability and intelligence in the field of query technology and so provide optimum support for our demands on a digitalized production.
Heraeus: DMQP partner for the free choice of powder and a qualified and integrated powder circuit
After expanding the DMQP Program this year to include ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, DMG MORI was able to gain Heraeus Additive Manufacturing, a highly competent manufacturer of powders for metallic 3D printing, as a DMQP partner. Where additive manufacturing is concerned the DMQP Program focuses on the free choice of powder on the one hand and the qualified and integrated powder circuit for the machines in the LASERTEC SLM series on the other. The cooperation with Heraeus ensures that customers have an extensive powder portfolio at their disposal which meets the strict quality standards. DMG MORI has in addition definitely validated these standards on a LASERTEC SLM powder bed machine. “It is important for us to provide our customers with a ready-to-use powder package that includes the powder and the respective machining parameters,” is how Christoph Grosch explains such diligence. The DMG MORI Additive Manufacturing Excellence Centers already practice the ordering and reordering of the powder plus the provision of machining parameters including powder recirculation and recycling with Heraeus.
