BETHEL, CT U.S.A., March 20, 2019: SPE-Inspiring Plastics Professionals announced today a licensing agreement with PLASTICS Industry Association’s for its This is Plastics® program. SPE members will soon have access to this program’s positive messaging about plastics-related topics, such as sustainability, safety and environmental issues. Access will be through SPE’s website.
The licensing of this program is a continuation of the long-standing collaboration between SPE and PLASTICS, working together to educate individuals on the importance of plastics and the positive influence it has on our world.
“Plastics is too often portrayed negatively by the media,” said Patrick Farrey, SPE’s CEO. “We want to tell the other side of the story – the great news about the value plastics play in everyday life. By equipping SPE members with data and science-based talking points, we can better contribute to a constructive, positive conversation which is essential to changing the perception of plastics.”
Resources include articles, images, videos and interactive quizzes with topics on Plastics 101, Safety, Economic Impact, Environment and Innovation. Article topics include combatting marine debris and how the plastic bag ban effects the economy. Resources can be printed or shared via email or social media.
