ARLANXEO illustrates future mobility solutions with electric car model, expert presentations and interactive rubber wall at the K2019

Company booth invites visitors to discover the key role of rubber for new mobility technologies

Maastricht – ARLANXEO, a global leader in performance elastomers, is offering visitors a variety of touch points to discover the instrumental role of rubber for new mobility solutions at its K fair 2019 presence.

At the center of the booth an animated CAD Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) model will be displayed on a video-screen, explaining how ARLANXEO´s rubber solutions address the changing material requirements for e-Mobility. Key automotive elements are highlighted in the animation including tires, battery, sealing systems, coolant and refrigerant hoses, air spring systems and windscreen wipers. In addition to new tire compounds that help achieve reduced rolling and improved abrasion resistance, new automotive rubber solutions featured include lower density and lighter weight sealing systems, high heat resistant coolant hoses and anti-vibration systems, more efficient flame retardant cables and high performance wiper blades. ARLANXEO is actively engaged in current research to improve the stability, capacity and performance of batteries in cooperation with industry, governmental bodies and universities, and backed by its own battery research centres in Europe and Asia.

The topics demonstrated with the BEV model will be complemented by stand-up presentations, where ARLANXEO experts will pitch key mobility topics related to rubber in short public presentations, inviting interaction and questions from visitors. The presentations, which include topics on ARLANXEO’s elastomer roadmap for new mobility, how to meet current and upcoming requirements for tires, the importance of thermal management and new technical developments for anti-vibration systems, take place in different slots every work day of the fair at the ARLANXEO booth.

As a further element, bridging the gap between the past, present and future, an interactive rubber wall invites guests to explore the role of rubber inventions for mobility over the last century while demonstrating the company´s heritage and its broad product portfolio. The wall highlights key mobility applications linked to specific rubber inventions via a shift-touch screen to explain the history, application areas and future mobility relevance of the respective polymers.

Donald Chen, CEO of ARLANXEO: “I am convinced that the solutions for tomorrow´s mobility can only be developed in close collaboration with our customers and partners. That´s why our booth is intended to be platform for dialog and inspiration, and I am looking forward to the discussions there.”
