Lossburg, 12.06.2019

On the occasion of the 3rd biennial “Outstanding Supplier” on 28 March 2019, Arburg was named Premium Partner of the Year 2018 by the HARTING Technology Group for adherence to deadlines, product quality and reliability of its machines. HARTING cooperates with Arburg already for 60 years. At its headquarters in Espelkamp, the corporation honoured a total of nine top suppliers from all important material segments; in this year for the first time also in the capital goods segment.

The HARTING Technology Group is a worldwide leading provider of industrial connection technology. Currently there are about 85 Allrounder injection moulding machines in operation at locations around the world.

60 years of trusting cooperation

“We are pleased that HARTING relies on Allrounder injection moulding technology already since 1959. And also in regards to philosophy, product quality and reliability our two family-run companies fit together perfectly”, observed Oliver Giesen, Director Sales Germany for Arburg. This was also demonstrated this year for example as a cooperation at the Hannover Messe.

“Outstanding Supplier”

At the biennial, Maresa Harting-Hertz, Director of Finances and Purchasing at HARTING, began with a presentation speech. She emphasised that her grandfather already purchased the first Arburg machine 60 years ago and that a close partnership binds both companies since then. The certificate for “Outstanding Supplier 2018” was received there by Michael Sperling, responsible Arburg Sales Consultant, together with Jörg Heinzelmann from the Turnkey Department and Michael Pietsch from Arburg Sales Germany. Thorsten Opitz, Global Purchasing at HARTING, emphasised the planning reliability and trusting cooperation even with quite current projects: “Arburg has supported us enormously with the installation of our new injection moulding production in the U.S.A. And the technical support on site also functions quite perfectly.” Both partnering companies are certain that this will remain so for decades to come.
